It’s sad but we need other people to be happy, even if usually it’s the very same people that end up making us sad eventually. The only way not to depend on anyone else to be happy is to isolate yourself from everyone else, which sounds pretty stupid to me… It’s an ideology that would make all of us perfect egoists.
