I saw an interesting take on the first cliche here. The text had an accompanying picture of a guy standing in the middle of a desert:
“Sure there’s plenty more fish in the sea. But you’re not anywhere near the sea. You’re in the desert. Alone.”
A tad depressing, but I thought it apt.
That is a neat one.
