Live love learn

Little did I know that it would be the start of a Happysad webcomic series that would keep people all over the world entertained for the next 7 years. That this one episode would turn into 30, and then a hundred, a thousand, and eventually more than 1500.

By the end of 2012, I had become too happy to continue being happysad, and so I decided it was time to quit (with the very sporadic exception…). It’s hard to believe that is already more than 3 years ago.

I’m not sad it ended though. I’m happy, and proud, that it happened. Once again, a big thank you to everyone who supported me, and especially to my most lovely muses, for everything they did, or didn’t do, to make it happen

And happy birthday, little dude!

As usual, you can interpret it however you like. But I drew it wishing to express what it can feel like when you’re single and you get the overwhelming feeling that everyone else around you is living happy social lives, full of romance and love. And there you are, stuck in the middle, heart the size of an elephant, shut out & isolated… One big illusion, no doubt, but a very powerful one nonetheless.

I call it Happycat.

Word has it that using cat characters hugely increases your internet fame (well, on Reddit perhaps…). So, internet, should I start a new series with this feline hero? (I’ll give you a hint: probably not).
