Just half a year ago, I got around 300 visits to my site in one month.

Today, my stats show me I get the same amount of visitors every day.

You are one of them. Yes, that’s YOU.

And I probably don’t know you.

Every day, I open up (part of) my soul to you.

It would be so nice if you open up to me too.

So please, do leave a comment to encourage me to go on!

Come on, go for it!

I’ll continue Happysad as soon as I get at least 50 comments :-)

    Sinds je entry over Luka Bloom heb ik hier een beetje rondgekeken en … ik ben blijven terugkomen. Happysad (en je ander werk ook natuurlijk) is fantastisch. Ik zou het missen als het verdween. Keep up the good work.

    als je zo begint dan is de lol eraf é.
    Wij komen speciaal kijken naar jou happysadjes en dan ga jij ineens stoppen met er te maken.
    Ja dan ga ik moeten stoppen met te komen naar jou é en kan ik niet meer replayen ook….
    Moest ik jou zijn dan doe ik verder en kunnen wij verder volle bak reclame maken voor jou

    Vreemd trouwens dat alleen vrouwen reageren. Ik dacht net dat HappySad voornamelijk bij mannen super in de smaak viel.

    Wanneer ga jij je reeks trouwens uitgeven?

    En wittewa? Als gij geen HappySads meer maakt, dan ga ik nie meer met u eten ‘s middags…
    (Hopelijk maakt dit dreigement genoeg indruk op u om ook voor chantage door te gaan, anders ziet het er nie goe uit voor mij ;-)

  9. Darn! I can’t read anyone elses comments aside from that one. :) Anyway, 50 comments is alot, does it count if I comment more then once? Probably not, I know you know you hvae the best comic online so you’ll wait for all the attention to pour in and I say el yeah to that, power to the people. I love the happysads, keep it up man.

    als het jouw inspiratie (lees : motivatie) ten goede kan komen, dan wil ik hier graag mijn steentje bijdragen opdat wij met zijn allen zouden kunnen blijven genieten van je HappySads en andere grappige cartoontjes ;-)

    en nog zulke boeiende comments zult ge krijgen op die manier :p

    Uw aantal bezoekers toont toch dat uw happysads in de smaak vallen. Uw happysad publiek bestaat uit stille genieters ipv pubers die zodra er een nieuwe cartoon online komt “eerste!” posten en dergelijke boeiende comments :)

    Wees blij daarom niet ongelukkig! ;-)

    Ik kom hier nu al een aardig tijdje kijken,
    en ik spam jouw cartoons ook overal rond, vooral op mijn weblog, ik maak er een soort van “motto vd dag” van, zodat hier veel meer mensen komen, en kunnen genieten. (uiteraard de strips in zn volledigheid incl het adres en je naam… ik steel niets hoor ;) )
    Ik vind echt dat je door moet gaan, want ik vind ze werkelijk waar grandioos, en ‘t gekke is, 9 van de 10 kan ik me nog echt in vinden ook.
    HappySad roels! ;)
    Ennehh.. 50 reacties is wel een beetje over the top heur!
    Zo lang willen wij heus niet wachten :(

    Few days ago I posted a comment, I was the second one to comment! But now I came back to check if you’ve reached 50 already and now I can’t find my own comment anymore!
    Guess deleting comments is not the best way to reach 50…

  21. Jeroen, there are so many comments in german (naturally) and my questions is, you’re always posting in english, can you and everyone else read both or is the posted in both somewhere?

    I’m glad you meant 15, although you get some many views you have to remember people always don’t want to be invovled, they just wanna look around. Window Shoppers!

    I’m afraid I am myself to blame for the language confusion, because of my own shizofrenical habit to mix English and (yes) Dutch on my site. My regular cartoons are normally in Dutch, while HappySad is in English for reasons I’ve explained in the HappySad FAQ. I realise this is a disadvantage to all non-Dutch speaking fans who visit my site, which is why I try to accommodate them by mostly communicating in Enghlish myself – unless I don’t really feel like it.
    By the way, anyone here in Belgium understands English perfectly, so…

  28. Yes… I don’t stop in nearly enough for how much I enjoy seeing your cartoons. Happysad is amazing, and I will try to come back more often to read. I am glad you open yourself up to others, I tend to do that on my MySpace blog now and then, but it is no where near as cool as Happysad is.
    Keep it up and I will be back!

  33. This is some pretty good material. Sounds like you’ve been out in the *GASP* Real World and that you’re a Nice Guy. Having been there myself, I’m getting one helluva kick reading Happysad and saying “Geez, did this guy make a comic about me or am I just hallucinating?”

    I’m backtracking the comic from the latest strip back to the very begginning – and I’m here now! I love it so far, I already cried a few times, but I already lost count of the number of times I laughed, or just simply, smiled. This is a really, really good comic, keep it up!

    I saw one of your drawings a few days ago somewhere on facebook and it was soo awesome i downloaded it from there (hihi)… and just a few hours ago i was looking for one picture and by a complete accident i ended up on your page :) I can`t go do my work because i am stuck here!     It’s been a while since I found a web comic that combines good drawing & genuine ideas. You sir, are an example of the very few who not only have those two qualities, but also have the courage to “open up (part of) my soul to you”…

    I’m still new here, so It’ll take me a while to go through the archives. But as far as I see, it’s gonna be one heck of a tour =) =)
