  1. True story: my cousin said exactly the same thing 4 yrs ago: “next year i am going to meet the man of my dreams and get married”.
she did meet him, they got engaged, they are now married.
some people say that setting your mind to it can actually “attract the energy” of somebody else…

Sadly these people are full of crap and have no idea what the word energy means. Scientifically “energy” is equivalent to “the capacity to do work” where work is applying a force across a distance. Most if not all forms of energy come down to something moving (particles, a wave, something) so they have some kind of force to impart in their own way.

*Maybe* there is an as yet undetected and unknown form of energy that can somehow be used by the human brain to exert a force on an unknown other individual, to bring you together… and somehow this only works on someone “perfect for you” and also somehow has gone entirely unnoticed by all of modern science despite the fact that it would be quite noticeably measurable.

    Maybe.

More believable is that putting yourself in an “I’m going to do it” mindset means that a. you’re more likely to take an opportunity when you see it and b. you’re more likely to see an opportunity when it’s there.

I suppose this thing it’s for laugh, didn’t?

But seems to make a good controversy.

Well… in my personal point of view, planning takes too much time, and in most of cases doesn’t work for nothing. Wishing it’s good, but get always depends of the effort to reach it. So…I’ve a say:

“Everything that depends on me to achieve something … I will do it. But what we rely on someone else … that it’s the hardest thing to get”

    Hugs!

i do wonder why is all this totally cute when coming from a male character…when it would be a girl it would just look a bit too pathetic…

  6. LOL. I love this one! Political and relationship “commentary” rolled into one!

But yeah, I do believe in the same things he does for next year…
