Further soul searching led to me asking myself the basic question: what actually makes someone so special? Why, of all the people we know, does one single person appear to be standing out? As love has nothing to do with reason, a reasonable answer will never be found, and looking for it is senseless. But whatever it is: you don’t need much of it. It was one of those statements that sounded so profound, it was like I didn’t find it, it found me.

I liked it so much I decided to make it the ‘baseline’ of my site. Ladies and gentlemen, that’s it for the re-runs. Stay tuned for a new season of… Happysad!

Or how to try and make something simple even simpler. Again, this one struck a chord with lots of people. Apparently, the more concise one can summarize our existence, the more powerful it is, and the more it appeals to people.

Which was, in itself, a wise lesson for me.

I actually got in hot water (bada-bing!) for this one. ‘Someone’ felt there was just a tad too much ogling going on here. Meh, it was worth it: personally I still I feel it resulted in one of the nicest HS-drawings I ever made.
